Why go with Sense Africa?
Sense Africa is a company which takes tailor-made holidays to Swaziland and Namibia. How do I know what to expect with Sense Africa?
Whilst deciding on your African holiday you will speak in depth with Sense Africa to ensure that you have chosen the right holiday for you. Before you go, you will receive a helpful handbook with the final itinerary, what to take, top tips and other useful information about your holiday to Africa.

Will I need a visa?
This depends on where you are going and what nationality your are. Visas are not required for Swaziland and Namibia for British passport holders. Check at www.uk.cibt.com. You will, however, need at least 6 months on your passport from the date you return from holiday.

How fit do I need to be?
This depends on the holiday that you are going on. But it is a holiday so do not feel obliged to participate in every activity! If you have concerns about your fitness then please discuss this with Sense Africa.

How safe is it?
Swaziland and Namibia are relatively stable countries in southern Africa.  Sense Africa monitors what is happening in country and keeps tabs on local issues.  Sense Africa would never knowingly put you in danger from local or cultural strife, wildlife encounters or uncomfortable situations.  Swaziland and Namibia welcome tourism with open arms, there will be memories of smiling faces and incredible experiences. Sense Africa has a vast knowledge and many years experience in travelling in southern Africa, and this will help ensure that you have a stress free and memorable holiday.

What vaccinations do I need to have?
You will need a number of vaccinations to travel to Africa, although many of them you will probably already have. Please consult with your GP as to which vaccinations you need and which malaria prophylaxis is best for you.

Will I see a snake?
Only if you are very, very lucky. Snakes are much more scared of you than you are of them - believe me this is true!

Will be able to phone home?
Yes. There are a number of places that you will be able to get mobile reception, just make sure that you have international roaming before you leave the UK.

Will I be able to recharge batteries, cameras and mobile phones?
Yes. Most accommodation has electricity and if not, you will have opportunities to recharge batteries and appliances beforehand. Just make sure your Sense Africa guide is aware of this.

What if the country I want to go to becomes unsafe?
Wherever possible we will offer an alternative location and/or alternative dates. We will always make every effort to run our trips as closely to the original itinerary as possible. For more detailed information on this please see our Terms and Conditions.

Are there age restrictions?
No, although there are some age restrictions on some of the more adventurous activities. Please ask Sense Africa.
