Africa is a developing continent and local governments can not provide all the assistance that is needed to ensure that local communities have a sustainable life above the poverty threshold. With your support in local community and conservation projects you are personally assisting in the development of sustainability in developing countries and in preserving the local ecosystem.
There are a number of projects that you can be involved with; either community or conservation based, or even a combination of both. The content and duration of your project is flexible and will be tailor-made for you.

Projects requiring your help include:
Habitat creation for Namibia's big cats
Botanical surveys and vulture feeding stations
Pioneer trail creation in Mlilwane Nature Reserve
Below are other Sense Africa projects you can be involved in:
- Building classrooms for AIDS orphan schools
- Toilet block revamping - some schools have no facilities
- Painting and decorating existing AIDS orphaned schools
- Designing environmental education leaflets
- Constructing an environmental education centre
- Trail construction in national parks and game reserves
- Educational notice boards in local reserves
- Interactive trails in game parks for local children
- Game surveys, night and day, to assist in maintaining the correct game levels in reserves
- Giraffe surveys to assist in the translocation of animals from one reserve to another
- Vegetation survey and the removal of conservation threatening alien species - critical in the future survival of reserves in southern Africa
- Construction of vulture feeding stations
