Days 1 – 2: Thamalakane River Lodge – mokoro the Okavango
Okavango Delta family safari BotswanaThamalakane River Lodge is beautifully situated on the banks of the Thamalakane River within a canopy of riverine forests, just a 20 minute drive from Maun. Spend a full day journeying by traditional dug-out canoe or mokoro trips and experience the tranquillity of the Okavango Delta.

Accommodation:  Accommodation is in stone chalets, with stunning river views. The chalets are complete with mosquito nets and ceiling fans ensuring a perfect comfortable sleep.

Days 3 – 4: Khwai Campsite – safaris to explore Moremi
Moremi family safari Botswana wildlifeA mobile bush safari allows you to truly experience Africa. Moremi is the first protected area in Africa to be established by local people, and the Reserve is rated as Africa’s most beautiful wildlife sanctuary. Spend two nights camping, with extensive and interpretive game-drives taking up your days.

Accommodation: en-suite 3 x 3m walk-in dome tents, iron beds with linen, all set in the wilderness. True explorers only!

Days 5 – 6:  Savute Campsite – exhilarating Big 5 safaris

Huge animal concentrations are attracted to this area and its artificial watering holes in the dry season. An unparalleled safari experience.

Accommodation:  en-suite 3 x 3m walk-in dome tents, iron beds with linen, all set in the wilderness. Fall to sleep with a symphony of cicadas.

Days 7  9: Chobe Elephant Camp – see elephants close up
Chobe elephant camp Botswana family safariChobe Elephant Camp is located beautifully on the edges of a rocky ridge just outside Kasane, providing phenomenal views of the Chobe region.  Chobe is home to the largest population of elephants in Botswana, together with an incredible diversity of other game. See big game in open 4 x 4 land rovers or from a boat on the Chobe River.

Accommodation: there are ten innovatively and uniquely built chalets, each with their own veranda and breathtaking view. All rooms are ensuite with both indoor and outdoor luxury showers.

Days 10  11: Lokuthula Lodge – delights of Victoria Falls

A nearby waterhole facilitates free passage of wildlife, including buffalo, elephant, hyena and a variety of plains game, between the park and the lodges. And from here visit one of The 7 Wonders of the World, truly breath taking.

Accommodation: rustic thatched lodges, a mere 4 kilometres from the spectacular World Heritage Site of Victoria Falls.  The individual lodges consist of two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, lounge, terrace and braai (barbeque) area.
