Marvel at the famous dunes of Sossusvlei, experience the Namib Desert and watch wildlife shimmer against the salt pan in the world famous Etosha National Park. Immerse yourself in the past at one of Africa’s richest rock art sites and explore the oldest, driest desert in the world, all whilst listening to the silence and your soul.

Namibia has some of the darkest night skies due to very low cloud cover and virtually no pollution as well as being home to a wide range of diverse wildlife, including a significant cheetah population.

Day 1: Explore Windhoek
Free time to explore the capital of Namibia. Windhoek is home to approximately three hundred and fifty thousand people, an extremely small capital by global standards.  The city centre is characterised by a proliferation of German style buildings, a lasting reminder of Namibia’s early colonial history.

Accommodation: Villa Vista – family owned upmarket accommodation close to the city centre

Day 2: Okonjima Plains Camp
The Okonjima Experience: an opportunity  for leopard tracking – search for the rare & endangered species rarely seen, even by locals! This activity offers guests the opportunity to be part of the 28 year study, aiming to provide insights into a sustainable future for the leopard populations.

Accommodation: Plains Camp – luxurious camp with quirky and modern rooms  that blend beautifully into the environment.  Look out at a stunning view of the natural veldt.

Days 3 – 5: Etosha National park
Etosha National Park is a major sanctuary for a variety of animal species in Africa, protecting the largest concentration of game in the country. Spend time watching the floodlit water holes on your Namibia safari, creating a natural theatrical spectacle for you to sit back and enjoy. Morning safaris and a night drive maximise your opportunities to see wildlife.

Accommodation: Mokuti Etosha Lodge and Okaukeujo Rest Camp –  comfortable air conditioned lodge and bush chalet, beautifully designed in keeping with the surrounding area.

Day 6 – 7: Grootberg Lodge, Damaraland 
Explore the true wilderness that is Damaraland – a 12,000 hectare area with a myriad of flora and fauna, desert elephant, black rhino and lion. A great area for walking and rhino tracking – on a 4×4 game drive and walking safari.

Accommodation: Thatched en-suite chalets overlooking a stunning vista. Home-grown salads and vegetables add to the wonderful cuisine offered.

Day 8 – 9: Swakopmund
Visit this fascinating and intriguing coastal town complete with German architecture, monuments, historic buildings and great coffee bars and restaurants.

Enjoy a luxury and stylish catamaran cruise on the Walvis bay Lagoon – learn about the scallop and oyster industries. Look out for dolphins (Heavyside, Dusky and Atlantic Bottlenose), and whales (Souther Right, Humpback and if you’re lucky Killer Whales/Orcas).

Accommodation: The Delight – modern and quirky rooms are fresh and uplifting with en-suite facilities, modern amenities.

Day 10 – 11: Sossusvlei
Big DaddyEnjoy the amazing scenery of the desert, and maybe take a short walk to Deadvlei, a bizarre collection of ancient camelthorn trees, or climb the nearby dunes. Return to Sesriem and perhaps take a look at Sesriem Canyon before returning to the lodge.

Accommodation: Desert Homestead – beautifully decorated and friendly establishment with a bar, restaurant and pool. Individual en-suite bungalows.

Day 12: Windhoek
Return to Windhoek with some amazing memories. Fly out the following day.
