Desert Homestead is situated in a wide grassy valley which ensures you unrivalled respite from the desert extremes. Tranquil surroundings, alfresco dining, delectably fresh farm cuisine, refreshing dips in the pool, stunning sunsets and sunrises are the basic pleasures at the lodge.
It is about a 30 min drive from Sossusvlei main gate and is a brilliant place for those who are self driving around Namibia.
Etosha Camp – Onkoshi Camp
Onkoshi Camp is nestled in the rim of Etosha pan, within Etosha National Park. It is located on a secluded peninsula which offers superb vistas over Etosha pan, shimmering with mirages and dramatic sunsets and a sense of space. It is a low impact, environmentally friendly establishment in a pristine and tranquil setting.
This is the more up market camp in Etosha National Park.
Kipwe offers is designed to creatively embrace the granite boulders of the area giving it an organic feel whilst facing out onto superb scenery. The camp embodies its Swahili meaning as it blesses the mind, body and soul of every traveller that makes the journey. Kipwe is ideally situated in Damaraland for the rock engravings and Burnt Mountain. The food is wonderful here and it’s sister camp, Mowani is located nearby.
The 9 rooms have large outside decks to admire the view and have partially open bathrooms adjoining the bedrooms, giving the feel of rustic luxury. Each room is shaped like an igloo and has air conditioning.
Mushara Lodge is ideally situated on the eastern side of Etosha. The name Mushara is derived from the Purple Pod Terminalia tree which grows abundantly on the lodge grounds and in the surroundings. The thatched public area include a small library with a selection of good books, a bar with an extensive wine cellar, an airy lounge complete with welcoming fireplace for winter evenings, a dining area and a well stocked curio shop.
Onguma Game Reserve – Treetop Camp
Onguma Treetop Camp is a small and intimate camp, especially designed for those travellers who would like to truly experience the bush in all its raw splendour. You are able to relax and just breathe in the aromas of the bush and take in all the wildness that this place has to offer. The Camp is built on wooden stilts amongst the tree tops with full views over one of the most beautiful watering holes on Onguma Game Reserve.
